I am curious to know who the actual women are in the Eve universe. I know of plenty of Female characters who are men, but have only ever chatted to one actual female player. If you are a woman please let yourself be known.

Well done all for answering my question with a bag of s**t. Was it not a legitimate question to ask? Maybe it is the fear of finding out a female avatar is a man after I have dropped a line of some sort, or maybe it is because I wouldn't mind chatting to a woman for a change. If this makes me sad, immature, lonely, desperate and looking for a slave then so be it. As you all seem to know me who am I to argue.

Ok, screw it who cares if they are men or women each to thier own. Seems questions of this type hit many nerves so it seems pointless to even ask and expect an answer.
For anyone who needs to know just so I can fit the stereotype I have been labeled, in RL I am a computer programmer who lives on my own with a cat and a hamster and buy meals for one every night. Infact I haven't spoken to a woman outside of work for 3 years and go red when they are within 3feet of me.

Quote: I'm a woman. I got into the game because of my husband (I decided it was more fun to join him than to watch him play ) and even I am curious as to how many of the female faces out there really are women.
At last I get some one answering without judging my social status. And to all the flammers out there how do you explain a lady wanting to know what does that make her?

Girls play games too, and don't want over testosteroned, socially disfunctional lonely guys wielding their joysticks at us when all we wanna do is mine a bit of scordite.
Can it please stop or some of us will start posting chat up convos.
I have no real intention of chatting up any of the real women on here. Yes I may act slightly different but not in any sexual way. I have a flirtatious nature and like what woman have to say, but not sad enough to digress into the dodgy cyber world.

Quote: On topic I know of several "real" females ingame, so they are out there. They aren't that rare, most just doesn't want to give you an honest answer if you ask them. For good reasons too.

Why do they need to hide. I thought at least in RL both sex's were equal and there was no need to hide your sexuality. Is Eve that much different, surely it is a good place for women in so much as if they do get some s**t from a guy they have some way of acting the way they sometimes would like and wasting his sorry ass.
It is all just a personal opinion, I role play as much as I can but like to know if the women avatars are RL women.

The answer to your question
What does that have to do with it, are you saying women are not strong enough to defend themselves against such verbal attacks? Men are subjected to the same sort of grief aswell so we all have to deal with it.
From that little cartoon it looks like it payed off to be a woman, as she had the upperhand at the end off it all!

Quote: Ch'ryl : I think male are always looking for female in games, as few of them play video games.
Eve was supposed to attract more women as there is a social apsect in managing corporation, managing relation between members, corps...
Even in beta it was the same. If your avatar looks like a female, a male will often ask if you really are a female quickly, whereas a girl won't ask or asks later
Pychian Vanervi : I know guys that are female and female that are guys ingame... It's human to play the opposite sex i think. I have never asked so far if my female m8 are really female, and honestly I don't care. If I play with them, it's because I like what they do, what they think and how they role-play.
Even if you try to evaluate how many players are female ingame, you won't get a clear and defenitive number unless you are CCP (credit card ID)... So, IMO, your post is like the others on the subject (not usefull) and will end like the others (no clear answer).
I'm not flamming...Just considering that it's better to play the game than trying to know who's who...It's another game
And anyway, you can easily find out if your mate is really a she...Just by the sentences construction and word usage. We try always to make clear and complete sentences, no abreviations and bad words (well, sometimes we do also )
Hoping I've been clear ennought (English is my 3rd language...)
I have realised that I am not going to get an answer to how many women play Eve and to be truthful I don't care now. What I have found is that the women who do play or at least the ones who have posted are strong enough to be happy playing a female character and playing them well by the sounds of things. I personally would like to see more in game, as in RL it adds so much diversity and interest to the world.

I will be the first to admit if I have made an error of judgement. I possibly looked too far into someting when realy it is only the surface that counts. My initial feeling on Men playing female characters has changed. I can see now that it doesn't matters if the player is a male or female behind the character and what sex they play is pretty irrelivent. You can only take someone at face value on eve and anything said can be as false as it is true, so why should I get bogged down by issues before you even say 'hi'.
So to all I may have offended with my initial feeling I apologise.

Yep, sex is irrelevent my friend. I think maturity is a more important issue in Eve. But thats a whole new trunk full of marbles...
Well I have always been told to act my age so maybe this is the start of a whole new more mature approach to things. Or just I have decided to take a more relaxed attitude to this subject.
So when is our first date?
